MS 585 industrial controller is the newest product designed by Mikroel. It is intended for control of medium-power compressors (up to 110 kW) with star-delta engine transition startup. MS 585 is electrically and mechanically fully compatible with MS 385-V24. Some of its functions were modified and improved and many additional solutions and improvements were introduced to make MS 585 functional, robust and comfortable in use.
MS-585 uses components of the latest technology and effective software routines. MS 585 is based on 32-bit NXP microcontroller that is recognized for high resistance to industrial power disturbances and features many functional possibilities. Built-in 12-bits Analog-to-Digital converters provide high-accuracy measurements. A colour LCD-TFT display with graphical interface, keyboard and LED diodes significantly improved working with the device.
Deployed algorithms of optimal compressing process control result in reduced power consumption and safe and balanced engine utilization. Two communication interfaces - industrial CAN and RS485 - allow networking cooperation within a set of compressors using MS-585 controllers, with simultaneous data acquisition and visualization on PC computer in real time.
MS 585 ensures control of external two-state logic sensors in 24VDC standard. Optional external phase asymmetry and phase inversion measurements between three power lines provide very efficient and fast engine protection against breakdown.
